How's the scribbling going? Feeling the five? Savoring the seven? Thinking in threes? There is still plenty of time to get your haiku* on during NaHaiWriMo—National Haiku Writing Month. We'd love to have you join us for the Second Annual Haiku Slam (4:00pm @ the East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church, Saturday 24 February). And hey, not feeling the haiku flow at the mo? You can come listen and cheer other's on! In the meantime, here is this week's list of haiku prompts.

*Haiku is a short, Japanese style poem of only three lines. Some say it's ruled by syllable count of 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. Others claim it's 3-5-3. We say make it what you want to be. Three lines! Claim your cadence! As a tidbit of trivia: February is NaHaiWriMo because it's the shortest month—like haiku being the shortest poem. ;-)
