How's the scribbling going? Feeling the five? Savoring the seven? Thinking in threes? There is still plenty of time to get your haiku* on during NaHaiWriMo—National Haiku Writing Month. We'd love to have you join us for the Second Annual Haiku Slam (4:00pm @ the East Craftsbury Presbyterian Church, Saturday 24 February). And hey, not feeling the haiku flow at the mo? *Haiku is a short, Japanese style poem of only three lines. Some say it's ruled by syllable count of 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. Others claim it's 3-5-3. We say make it what you want to be. Three lines! Claim your cadence! As a tidbit of trivia: February is NaHaiWriMo because it's the shortest month—like haiku being the shortest poem. ;-)
