Senior Solutions is launching a Memory Cafe in Wilmington for family members caring for a loved one who is diagnosed with dementia are welcome to attend with their loved one. A Memory Cafe is a welcoming place for caregivers and their loved ones who are challenged with forms of dementia or other cognitive disorders. It is a safe and comfortable space where they can socialize, listen to music, play games, and enjoy other appropriate activities. Cafes provide mutual support, present additional resources, and provide an opportunity to enjoy the comany of those with common experiences. Individuals who are still caring for themselves after a recent dementia diagnosis are also welcome. We provide snacks and friendly support.
