Two-day introductory workshop at Shaftsbury fiber farm, Wing & A Prayer Farm, (February 17 + 18), in which you'll learn the basic stitches of knit and purl and will have a project underway before class is finished.

Topics to be covered include:

Basic tools, yarn types and how to choose the right yarn for your project, knit and purl stitches, casting on stitches, binding off your project, reading your stitches and fixing simple mistakes, and a demonstration of how to join two pieces of knitting together with a needle and yarn (seaming).

Workshop is taught by experienced knitters/instructors Lesli Cohen + Liz Perez Wilson in the farmhouse at Wing & A Prayer Farm. Farm to Table lunch and light refreshments provided. Details for the workshop and kit of farm yarn and tools and notions are on website at wingandaprayerfarm.com
