Yes! Middlesex's in-person town meeting is back!
After a three-year pandemic break, Middlesex Town Meeting will once again be held in person. All voters are welcome to join in this annual Vermont democratic happening! You can hear from your fellow Middlesex townspeople and leaders, share ideas, take part in making important decisions, and enjoy dinner with your neighbors afterwards.
When? Tuesday, March 5, 4:30 pm
Where? Rumney School, 433 Shady Rill Road
What? Lots of interesting stuff! Check out the meeting agenda ("Warning") at https://middlesexvermont.org
Democracy can make you hungry, and Middlesex's post-town meeting dinner has a long and delicious history. Our dinner will begin right after town meeting (so probably 6:30 or 7-ish), featuring spaghetti with your choice of toppings, homemade rolls with butter, and fresh salad. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. And don't forget the always-fabulous dessert potluck!
Suggested dinner donation: $10 for adults, $4 for kids under age 12. Proceeds will benefit the Middlesex Community Fund and Rumney PTNO. Want to help? A few extra hands to pitch in with prep, serving or clean-up would be welcome! Please contact Amy Rose at amy.rose.vt@gmail.com
As you've already heard from our esteemed Town Clerk, the polls will be open for Australian ballot voting (including presidential primary voting) from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm at Rumney. For a sample ballot and more details, visit https://middlesexvermont.org
