Wednesday, February 7 is the start of the Central Vermont OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) winter series, Feb.7 to April 17. The eight lectures will all be at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center, 58 Barre St., 1:30 to 3 followed by three films chosen by Rick W inston, shown at the Savoy Theater.Here are the details:
The opening program February 7 on artificial intelligence (AI) will be presented by Tom Evslin, Vermont entrepreneur and former State government leader. Evslin will give us a guided tour of the latest exciting developments in this quickly evolving field.
The series also includes programs on medical aid for dying; the Rokeby Museum and Vermont's anti-slavery movement; the 2024 total solar eclipse; technology in Vermont agriculture; garden design, Howard Norman with Jane Shore on their marriage; and forecasting the 2024 presidential election.
