Life in Addison County" will be shown by the East Monkton Church Association on Sunday, September 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the East Monkton Church, 405 Church Road. The video is a production of Senator Bill Doyle's Vermont History and Government Class at Johnson State College and Peregrine Productions LLC of Waterbury, Vermont. It is one of a number of productions this collaboration has produced related to the history of Vermont's counties and the experiences of their residents.

The history and people of Addison County are as rich and vibrant as the landscape that makes this place so special. Living in Vermont during the early 1900s was as much a challenge as it was a wonderful life. The stories and memories shared by the folks that lived during those challenging times provide a vivid glimpse into the life in Addison County.

The residents interviewed in the video are Eugene Bagley, Gertrude Bingham, Erwin Clark, Clara Cunningham, Pete Gipson, Gerald Heffernan, Bill Keyes, Bill Parrish, Diana Parks, Jean Sargeant, Art Sherman, George Smith, and Mary Sullivan. The video is dedicated to the memory of educator and Representative Greg Clark.

The showing is free and open to the public.

The East Monkton Church Association will gratefully accept donations for the restoration and preservation of the East Monkton Church at the showing of the video.

Note that there are no restroom facilities at the East Monkton Church.
