ART'S FIRST!
Creative Sessions for Young Children
(Spaces are limited for these free workshops – please register in advance.)

Young artists will explore a wide variety of media in these informal creative workshops. Curiosity and imagination will be our guide. Please wear clothing that can get messy. SPA encourages adult family members and caregivers to be involved in the activities.

These workshops will be scheduled each month on the third Saturday of each month through November, 2024. The activities are free of charge.

NEXT ART'S FIRST SESSIONS:
Saturday February 17;
Saturday March 16; and
Saturday April 20;

YOUNG CREATIVITY: (Ages 4-6 Years)
9AM-10:30AM
This session will begin with an informal visit to the art show in the Main Floor Gallery, including a game of "Eye Spy in the Gallery." The children and their parents will return to the Classroom to make art. There will be 2-3 multi-media options, and in some cases there will be a specific project that relates to the exhibit.

EARLY CREATIVITY: (Ages 1-3 Years)
11AM-11:45AM
There will be several informal art making activities in the Classroom that engage parents or guardians with being creative with their young child.

Arts First Workshop Leader: Tina Logan
Tina Logan is an educator and artist who received her BFA in art education in 1987 from Syracuse University, and has been teaching ever since. She currently teaches at Albert D. Lawton Intermediate School in Essex Junction VT. but also has more than 20 years of experience teaching elementary aged artists as well.
