You're invited to meet City Council candidate Lena Greenberg. Ruby and I are hosting a "Meet and Greet" at 54 Locust St on Saturday, February 3, from 3 - 5 PM. It's an opportunity for an extended Q&A with Lena. When you meet and talk to Lena, you are meeting the future of Burlington and you come away from the encounter more hopeful than before. This has been very important for me!

We are in a time of massive change. We don't think we're alone in sensing this. Burlington needs a fresh outlook in our governing bodies in order to make hard but necessary changes. We need people who understand how every local decision is rooted in very real global problems. Since meeting Lena (they/them) last year, Ruby and I have been impressed by their clear thinking, enthusiasm, generosity and extraordinary people skills as well as the capacity to understand the connections between seemingly separate issues. Lena's innovative work at the Intervale Food Hub and their solid leadership on the Ward 5 NPA Steering Committee both demonstrate a capacity to lead and to listen.
