Film Gathering on " Caring for the Earth, our Common Home"

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Jericho will be hosting a two part screening and discussion of the film "The Letter," a documentary about how spiritual values call us to take action on the ecological crisis. The film is a dramatization of Pope Francis' "Letter to the World," his global invitation to link care for creation with care for each other.

Good Shepherd is hosting this film event because taking action on the ecological crisis is vitally important. As people of faith, we respect and honor God's creation. Beyond that, we are aware that the ecological crisis will affect all of us, and is indeed already affecting many of us.

In the spirit of the film's message, we invite persons from all faith or community perspectives to join us in seeking a path of healing, justice, and peace in response to the world's needs.

The film will be screened both in person (at the church in Jericho) and online (through the Zoom link provided below). It will be shown on two consecutive Sundays, February 4 and 11, from 10:30 to 11:45am. During each session, we will view one half of the film, followed by a half hour of facilitated discussion.
