Past event
Jan 31, 2024, 5 AM to 7 PM

Date: Wednesday, January 31st
Location: Warren Elementary School
Time: 5 pm - 7 pm

Friends of the Mad River would like to invite you to the last of our three-part Flood Resilience Series, a panel discussion titled, "Lessons from the 2023 Floods". We've invited experts from around the state to come and speak to us about the impacts of last year's flooding. With backgrounds ranging from floodplain specialists trying to reconnect rivers to their historical floodplains, to community organizers managing the devastation in Montpelier and Hardwick, to fish and wildlife biologists talking about the impact on our non-human neighbors, this event is designed to give us all a big-picture perspective on how the Mad River, and the rest of Vermont, was impacted. This event will take place at Warren Elementary on Wednesday, January 31st, from 5-7pm. We will provide dinner and childcare at the final event. Childcare spots may be limited, so please RSVP early!

Please RSVP if you plan to attend or need childcare.
