Weatherize, Weatherize, Weatherize!! The purpose of the Energy Forum is to educate homeowners about “Buttoning Up” before considering alternatives to traditional energy sources.
A representative from the NeighborWorks H.E.A.T. Squad, a Federally-funded home improvement program, will have information on $100 home energy audits, optional affordable financing, access to incentives from Efficiency Vermont up to $2,000.
Heat pumps are a popular topic this year and several homeowners who installed them last winter realized a significant savings in the reduction of their conventional heating fuels. These pumps can be installed in homes with or without heating ducts. Homeowners who would like to find out more are invited to bring their questions and certified installers will be there to answer them.
The Energy Group looks forward to meeting homeowners who are interested in improving their homes through weatherization and learning about cleaner and cheaper alternatives to fossil fuels.
