Your lawmakers need to hear from you! Join the ACLU of Vermont for some good old-fashioned letter-writing at Rabble Rouser on Tuesday, Jan 30 at 5:30-6:30. Put pen to paper on important issues facing our communities.

This year, the legislature is debating whether to spend millions of dollars to begin construction on a new women's prison in Vermont. With a likely price tag of more than $80 million dollars, this proposed prison would be far bigger and more restrictive than Vermont needs. Tell your lawmakers to reject this plan and invest in people, not prisons.

We'll provide materials and talking points, guidance on how to write an impactful letter, and assistance with identifying your legislators. Be sure to register so we know to expect you, and invite a friend to join. Hope to see you there!
