Presented by the Vermont Institute of Celtic Arts and Catamount Pipe Band
There's no time like the present to raise a glass to the legacy of Robert Burns. Step through time and celebrate the life and work of Scotland's revered, national poet, Robbie Burns. The Burns night tradition started soon after the poet's death in 1796, when several of his friends gathered to celebrate Burns' life and work. The tradition has continued around the world for over 200 years. Join Catamount Pipe Band and the Vermont Institute of Celtic Arts as we celebrate the works and life of Scotland's National Poet.
This evening will be filled with music, and stories to celebrate the works of Robbie Burn and conclude Rev. Arnold Isidore Thomas singing Auld Lang Syne, and all guests are invited to sing along. So sit back and enjoy the evening as Ian Gauthier, MC, singer, and story-teller leads us through the celebration. There will be copious amounts of music performed by the Catamount Pipe Band, Green Mountain Celts, and a growing list of other musicians and dancers.
