The Heavenly Pantry at the First Congregational Church on Main Street in Essex Junction will be open to families on Thursday, January 25, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Residents of Essex, Essex Junction and Westford are welcome to enter the front door of the First Congregational Church of Essex Junction where they will be given a number and asked to wait in the sanctuary until it is their turn to register. A volunteer will then escort them around the pantry where they will make their food selections.
There are no income requirements to participate, but additional food from the USDA is available once each month to those who verify their income falls below federally mandated guidelines. If you live within walking distance of the pantry and have no vehicle you may borrow a shopping cart to bring your food home, and we ask that it be returned immediately so others may use it.
Those needing food but unable to attend can call the church office at 878-5745 from 9:00-noon today through Thursday to arrange a delivery. The pantry is here for you!
