Hello neighbors!
If you missed Monday night's presentation and conversation about the uncertain future of the Wild Worcester Range, don't fret - you can tune via zoom on Wednesday evening at 6pm! RSVP here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZctdOGupj8qG9CAad68BJJNQZWiFT0XNe1w#/registration
Nearly 19,000-acres of this exceptional landscape, from Waterbury to Elmore, is co-owned by each and every Vermonter and managed by Vermont's Agency of Natural Resources. VT ANR is preparing the first-ever management plan for this vast area, and they need to hear from you!
Ten percent, or 1,900-acres of this special region in the heart of the Green Mountains is proposed for timber harvest, and half of the landscape will be opened to future logging, including a majority of Elmore State Park. The state's draft plan was released in December, and the public has until Friday, February 2nd to submit comments.
We'll make sure you leave the meeting with facts and background to help you raise your voice. See you there!
