Expand your horizons with outdoors-focused speaker series at Richmond Free Library this winter

The Green Mountain Club sponsors a ten-session speaker series every winter, designed to inspire, inform, and connect you with outdoor adventure in all forms. This year, several programs are taking place at the Richmond Free Library. All are free and open to the public.

• Jan 25 - Source to Sea: Paddling New England's Longest River: Two former GMC caretakers share their adventure paddling the Connecticut River, from the tiny headwaters in Canada to Long Island Sound.
• Feb 16 – Walking Coast to Coast in Andalusia: Mad River Valley residents Kathy and Jim Elkind share stories and adventures of walking and hiking on the Spanish coast.
• Feb 22 – All about the 2024 Eclipse: Jack St. Louis, president off the Vermont Astronomical Society, gives us a rundown of everything we need to know before the historic total eclipse that will pass over northern Vermont on April 8.
• Feb 29 - Exploring the Influence of Climate Change on Vermont's Forests with UVM Profession Ali Kosiba. Learn how to recognize signs of climate change while out hiking and exploring.

To see the full lineup of events, which includes virtual programs and programs at locations around Vermont, and to register for individual sessions, visit GMC's events webpage. We hope to see you there! https://www.greenmountainclub.org/education/events-workshops/
