A monthly film series on the current crisis in Gaza and Israel begins Jan 25th at 6:30pm when the Hardwick Peace Vigil Committee shows the 45 minute version of "The Occupation of the American Mind" in Parker Pie's 2nd floor meeting room. Afterward Courtney O'Connor & Arthur Hynes will facilitate discussion that invites participants to air their experiences, concerns and questions regarding the situation in Gaza.

Courtney Mireille O'Connor, an international jurist, served the UN High Commissioner for Refugees as a (field) protection officer and legal advisor, led a mission on torture into Gaza for the Danish Centre of Victims of Torture, and has spent significant personal time in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Israel. Arthur Hynes is a photographer, videographer, and peace & climate activist, who visited Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Tunisia some years ago.

The documentary film series emphasizes well-researched material and perspectives that are typically not found in mainstream media. The facilitators welcome all respectful opinions and discussion. The unabridged version of this month's film is available for FREE online https://www.occupationmovie.org/ so that people can make up their own minds about its analysis of U.S. media coverage of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
