Landlords and property managers in Vermont have a responsibility to provide access to recycling and food scrap diversion that meets Vermont's Recycling Law (Act 148) and the Rental Housing Health Code. The Bennington County Solid Waste Alliance is offering a free educational event presented in partnership with the Bennington Free Library on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Bennington Free Library, 101 Silver Street, Bennington, Vermont.

The event will provide information on what landlords and property managers need to know to comply with Vermont's Recycling Law (Act 148) and Rental Housing Health Code. Materials will be available to educate tenants on proper waste sorting, tips to reduce odors and mess, and time for questions at the end of the presentation.
