Sukkot Festive Shabbat Harvest Dinner Oct. 10

Past event
Oct 10, 2014, 6 to 9 PM

On Friday night, October 10th, at the height of Vermont's leaf-peeping season, the Jewish Community of Greater Stowe (JCOGS) will celebrate the joyous, week-long holiday of Sukkot.

During Sukkot it is customary to hold as many of your activities in a sukkah (a hut that sits beneath the open sky) as possible. In that spirit, JCOGS' Friday night Shabbat service will find us sitting in our delightfully decorated sukkah under the stars and moonlit Stowe sky to share prayers and songs led by Rabbi David.

A delicious Sukkot harvest Shabbat dinner catered by Rachel Jacobs of Vermont Kosher will follow, with more music, singing, dancing and good times to be shared. Please plan to spend this Sukkot holiday evening together with JCOGS.

Please be sure to make your reservations for this popular, annual JCOGS event online at: JCOGS.org or by phone at 802-253-1800. The cost of the dinner is $22 per adult and $5 per child. All are welcome.
