SOUPS & SMOOTHIES: GENTLE FOOD FOR ALL

Learn to make creative soups, smoothies, and baby food on Saturday January 27th from 1:30pm-3:30pm at the Hardwick Health Center. This workshop will be lead by Katharine Arnold of the Buffalo Mountain Market & Heather Davis of the Hardwick Area Food Pantry. There will even be a blender raffle prize/give away to someone who attends!

This Grow Your Own workshop will explore lots of taste profiles for foods that you can blend together to make suitable for everyone in the family, including babies! Making these foods from scratch can often be much less expensive than the prepared items you find in stores—and you can use fresh, local ingredients as a bonus. Parents, caregivers, and older siblings can all get involved in nourishing the youngest family members.

Babies and kids of all ages are always welcome at Grow Your Own workshops. Grow Your Own is a project of the Hardwick Area Food Pantry and Center for an Agricultural Economy. The mission of Grow Your Own is to increase food independence, better health and well being through shared knowledge and experience. Workshops are always free (though donations are gratefully accepted, if you're able.)
