Rock City in Concert/Dance Party
I have been part of this singing group for a lot of years and hope the Hardwick area can come on down to Barre for a fun evening at the Elks Lodge. There is a bar, great dance floor, and amazing music!!!! So what could be better?
Details: Rock City will be performing at the Barre Elks Lodge, 10 Jefferson Street in Barre, on Friday, January 26, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 pm. Rock City is Barre's one and only Rock & Soul chorus with 50 singers and one rocking band. Our mission is to serve the residents of Barre and Central Vermont through music, giving back to the community through benefit concerts. This season, the group will present an evening of songs from the sixties through the aughts, in four part harmony, with a great band featuring Jeff Guerin, Pat Lambden, Colin McCaffrey, Justin Lander (from Hardwick), Keith Gibson, and Steve Sawyer, and directed by John Harrison. You are sure to be entertained; you may sing along; and you just might get out on the best dance floor in Central Vermont. This is going to be a great evening for a great cause.
Tickets are $10-$20 per person, and 100% of the door proceeds will benefit the Rainbow Bridge Community Center, devoted to serving the needs of the Central Vermont LGBTQIA2S+ community by creating a safe, accessible space to support community resiliency through advocacy, education, support, and play. This benefit is made possible through the generosity of our sponsors: Triex LLC/Filabot/Massive Dimension; Ed Sawyer & Hazel Binding; Linda Winter Real Estate / Keller Williams; Capital Candy; Lenny's Shoes and Apparel; and Short Street Properties LLC.
We did a flood benefit concert in September and now our regular one this coming Friday. Our group is dedicated to music and supporting a different organization (winter and spring) twice per year. Come join us and get moving or at least get listening!
