The Tour de Stowe is this Saturday featuring a non-competitive ski tour through the Trapp Family Lodge and Stowe Mountain Resort trails. And the ski conditions should be fantastic.
There are course distances for everyone, welcoming all generations of skiers, from elementary school to masters! BKL and juniors (17yrs and under) receive a reduced entry fee, and everyone can enjoy a supported ski featuring trailside blueberry soup and snacks along the way. There will be equipment demos for all to try at Cross Country Skier Magazine's first stop along their Tour de Trail. A Vendor Expo in the Yurt will feature our friends from Skida, BirdieBlue, Mountain Road Outfitters, and Cabot Cheese and Cold Hollow Cider Mill.
Adult participants in the 14km and 21km tours are additionally invited to a post ski celebration in the Bierhall with schnitzel, bratwurst, pretzels, and VonTrapp beer, plus a raffle featuring generous donations from Swix that include a wax table, ski and boot bags, and waxes/supplies.
Online registration is at skireg.com until Friday noon. Day of registration is available for an additional $10. Tour starts at 11AM and Kids tour at 11:30AM by the Trapp Outdoor Center Yurt.
