Appearing for the first time in Vermont, Ossie Michelin, an award-winning Labrador Inuk journalist and filmmaker, will present a selection of three short movies by Indigenous filmmakers. Originally from North West River, Labrador, and now based in Montreal, Michelin comes from a large family and a long line of storytellers. His work focuses on exploring the North and sharing stories of the Indigenous World. In addition to the film screening, Michelin will offer insights on the films and answer questions about Indigenous life in Labrador today. Before and after the films, we will share a selection of music videos by contemporary Inuit musicians.
Donations encouraged at the event.
Space is limited, so please reserve a spot.
