Hey Hardwick! I hope everyone is enjoying the snow and staying warm! It's so magical to see the shimmer on the fresh powder. The Rec Committee is in the planning stages of a new event: a celebration of winter! This family event will take place at Hazen Union on 2/25 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon and will have outdoor and indoor events. Outdoor events will consist of sledding (BYOS - bring your own sled!) on the Hazen hills, snow fort building in the various fields at Hazen, a campfire walk, and the cabin will be available for snowshoe and cross-country ski loaners for the duration of the event.

Inside the Cafe at Hazen will be various winter arts and crafts, a winter snack station, a hot chocolate bar, kid friendly inside games, and puzzles and coffee for adults!

If you would like to volunteer a craft booth, play some live kid friendly music, or lead some snow fort building, please email recreation.committee@hardwickvt.gov or call Jason @ 802 272-3137.

This is a free event and all children need to be supervised.
