A four week playwriting workshop will be held on Thursday afternoons from beginning on February 1st through February 22nd. Jeanne Beckwith, a prolific playwright whose plays have been staged in Vermont, New York, California, Dublin and Istanbul and teaches literature and theater arts on the college level, will guide participants as they discover the basic elements of playwriting, plot and character development and write short plays applying these concepts. All interested participants must register online by going to the Joslin Memorial Library website joslinmemoriallibrary.com. No previous playwriting experience is necessary.
