U-32 School Board Monthly Update

The U-32 School Board is mourning the death of our Calais member, Conrad Smith, earlier this month after a long battle with cancer. He served on the board for seven and a half years right up until his death. He will be remembered for his compassion, his thoroughness discussing issues and his willingness to ask hard questions. His lasting legacy to U-32 was his key role in the development of the Capital Fund, which plans for deferred maintenance and capital expenses over the long term. He will be greatly missed. The Board welcomes Scott Thompson, who has been appointed to serve out Conrad’s term.
