Weybridge Community Forum Sept. 25

Past event

September 25, 2014 from 6:30-8:00 PM

During the 2011-12 school year, the Addison Central Supervisory Union (ACSU) Study Committee engaged many members of the public in discussions to generate local action ideas for short and long term school planning, including a consideration of whether or not to recommend the formation of a Regional Education District (RED) in the ACSU. Weybridge piloted the community forum process for all of ACSU.

Presently, the ACSU leadership has initiated a Strategic Planning Process in order to take a proactive stance in defining a Vision and a Mission, as well as goals and objectives that reflect the hopes and aspirations of ACSU communities. The planning process includes our school in Weybridge as well as our Middle and High Schools in Middlebury, and the other towns in our Supervisory Union. At the forum we will:

1. Gain an understanding of the Strategic Planning Process and how our discussions will fit into that process.

2. Review our key recommendations from the Study Committee Process.

3. Revisit our thinking about what kind of schools we want and need for our children.

Please join us to continue the discussion about our schools on Thursday, September 25th. Refreshments and childcare will be available. Thank you from the Weybridge School Board.
