Please join us for the inaugural organizational meeting of the Lydia Taft Pratt Library Cookbook Club, on Tuesday, January 16 at 5:30pm here at the library.
We will be meeting to discuss how we'd like to proceed as a club. Feel free to email suggestions to me about what you'd like to see. Presently, we have several cookbooks available on making cupcakes, cookies, and having a tea party. We also have several very nice farm-to-table and more generalized cookbooks. We also have several books on baking bread and, specifically, sour dough bread. I'm thinking we can decide what we'd like to do, and then reconvene next month and have a potluck to show off what we learned from the books we chose.
In the future, I can have books loaned from other libraries. So, for example, if we all want to try using a particular book, I can try to get multiple copies. Or, if we'd all like to cook Indian cuisine (or anything else), I could get several different books on that particular sort of cooking. Etc.
If you would like to participate, *please RSVP* to dummerstonvtlibrary@gmail.com or 802-258-9878
Please especially be in touch if you are interested, but unable to make it at that time.
