Looking for a SWEET VALENTINE experience…..Join us for the return of our IMPROV with a VALENTINE THEME. Tickets are on sale at paramountvt.org.

Vermont Actors' Repertory Theatre will host a return of its' popular show, "An Evening of Improvisation or Wing It". The comedy show will be presented February 10th at 7 p.m. and February 11th at 2 p.m. The improv will be performed at the West Rutland Town Hall Theatre, 35 Marble Street.

The director for the show is Vidur Kaytal, a theatre major at Vermont State University at Castleton (formerly Castleton University) who created the first ever improv troupe at his university. Members from the university, as well as performers from the Rutland area, will be doing comedic improv together for the ART event on an interesting theme of Valentine this year.
Improvisation, in theatre, is the playing of dramatic scenes without written dialogue and with minimal or no predetermined dramatic activity. The method has been used for different purposes in theatrical history.

Unplanned performances allows the actors to connect with the targeted audience, which enables the improviser to incite a wide array of emotions. The audience will suggest a topic, word or situation for the improv troupe to use to create a scene. The actors play off of each other until there is a sense that the scene is complete.

Tickets for the event can be purchased on-line through the Paramount website at www.ticketsales.com/paramount or at the door the evening of the performance. Tickets are $10 a piece for general admission.
