As the Duxbury energy committee coordinator, I wanted to review our 2023 energy activities and solicit your involvement in 2024.
YEAR IN REVIEW
1) We now have 2 VT Buildings and General Services energy contracts.
o $4000 has been deposited into the town's account for a capacity building mini-grant to support the energy committee and our initiatives.
o Level 2 energy resiliency assessments for the town office and garage contract have been approved.
o The Level 2 assessment is the gateway to building energy improvement grants up to $500K.
o We are waiting to hear from BGS about scheduling the assessment site visit.
2) We have an active Duxbury gravel pit solar project whose filing with the PUC was accepted in Nov 2023. Once approved, site work should begin in the spring.
PLANNING FOR 2024
With the capacity building grant, we now have some funds for town energy activities. We have a list of topics to be discussed at the upcoming energy committee meeting
It's time for planning and action.
