AT THE PLAINFIELD TOWN HALL/OPERA HOUSE
An Evening of Interactive Poetry & Performances by Local Teens & Their Mentors
Poetry! Snacks! Word Games! Graffiti Wall! Activities!

The explosive culmination of a 5-week workshop in which participants have been on a journey through the many worlds of poetry, paving the way for youth empowerment, poetry events, & peaceful revolution to transform society…one verse at a time.

Teens were guided by local youth mentor Erik Gillard, aka Uncle E-rock, on a journey through the many worlds of powerful poetry, from verse to spoken word, SLAM poetry to haiku, visual poetry to hip-hop and song. Erik brought his own mentors and peers to share their passion for writing with Plainfield-area youth for five weeks at the Cutler Memorial Library. Come hear their words; come celebrate their work! At the Plainfield Town Hall/Opera House, US Route 2 at the blinking light.

*One of hundreds of “100,000 Poets for Change Day” events taking place around the world; ours is sponsored by the Cutler Memorial Library with support from the Paul Post Fund & the Vermont Community Foundation, and was the inspiration of local poet E.F. Schraeder.
