Jack Jump Race!

Greetings fellow Lincolnites and winter enthusiasts! We are excited to announce the Inaugural Lincoln Sports' Hill Country Holiday Jack Jump Race!

When: Sunday, February 4th, 1:00pm (practice at 12 pm)
Where: Sledding hill on Gove Hill, Lincoln VT.

Parking: Lincoln Town Office lot, Burnham Hall and Lincoln Library

There will be open sledding before the race between 11:00-12:00. Jack Jump race practice will be from 12:00-1:00pm, followed by the race start at 1:00pm.

Bring your own Jumper if you have one, and if not we will have some extras you can ride!

Jack Jumping is an old Vermont tradition, and the roots of this tradition drive deep into Lincoln's culture and community. A Jack jump is a home-made contraption in which a seat is attached to a single ski. It is said to have been used by green mountain loggers in the late 19th century.
