According to Gabrielle Roth, "if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions. When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?"
As an antidote to these darker days of winter, the HCA is hosting a new Swing Dance Club, bringing the joy of dance and music into our mid-winter lives. If enough interest is expressed, this will become a monthly event.
We may not be able to "find comfort in the sweet territory of silence" on the evening of January 19, but the opportunity to dance and sing together will undoubtedly feed our spirits!
