What on earth is a read-a-thon? Well, you know what a marathon is- a long run. So a read-a-thon is a long read. We’re scheduling the WONDER read-a-thon from 4-7 at the Guilford Country Store. We’re going to read WONDER aloud, and we’re hoping you like the book so much that you’ll want to come, either to read aloud, or to listen. Luckily for us, the Guilford Country Store has some nice places to sit, including a very comfy couch ( you’ll have to get there early for that) and some nice food and drink when you need fortification.
If you haven’t read WONDER yet, you can pick up a copy at the library, the town office, the Guilford Country Store or the Guilford Community Church. And when you have finished reading it, please bring it back to one of those places so that more people can read it. Guilford Reads is supported by the Vermont Council on the Humanities. They gave us 50 books, and the library bought 20 more, most of which are in circulation.
