Happy New Year, all!
Reps. Bluemle and I are three days into the 2024 Legislature, for which ~150 more new bills have been introduced. The issues South Enders are concerned with are shared across Vermont. Indeed, many of the recent bills focus on public safety, housing, mental health and substance use, affordability, and... climate change and resilience.
In response to your survey replies, Tiff and I hosted a zoom cafe on Housing last fall. This month, please join us on Martin Luther King Day (Monday, January 15th) from 6 - 7 pm for a discussion focused on the environment and climate.
We will be joined by Joey Miller from the Vermont Natural Resources Council and Lauren Hierl from the Vermont Conservation Voters.
