On Monday, January 15th from 11am-2pm at Grace Congregational Church in Rutland, join Rutland Area NAACP to honor local heroes, look back on our accomplishments, celebrate community, and enjoy some delicious food!

The annual Freedom Fund event is the NAACP's biggest fundraiser of the year, and an opportunity to gather our busy, rural community together to celebrate all we've done and look ahead to the new year.
This year's event features keynote speaker Shirley A. Jefferson, Vermont Law School's Vice President of Community Engagement and Government Relations, and associate professor of law.
We will also present several awards to community members who have made a difference in racial and social justice this year, including Kevin "Coach" Christie, Rutland County Pride, and Rutland student Amaya Tonda.
