January 2, 2024!  MadDog Trout Unlimited's 1st Chapter Meeting of the year!

(See below for the MDTU Fly Tying Class)

It's gonna be great since we'll be zooming in Doug Lyons!

Doug Lyons has been along time Battenkill angler; first dipping his toes in its clear waters in 1977.
For the last 20 years Doug has been active in habitat restoration activities with both Trout Unlimited and the Battenkill Watershed Alliance.
Doug recently completed Fly Fishing Guide to the Battenkill (Stackpole, Sept 2023) and has been featured on Tom Rosenbauer's Orvis Fly Fishing podcast and Askaboutflyfishing.com
In addtion to welcoming Doug there'll be updates on 2024 MDTU projects and events, there are spring projects, the Winter Fly Tying Classes, Trout in the Classroom, Women's Intro to Fly Fishing, Vermont Trout Camp for Teens, and the Two Fly Tourney and others planned, too!

Doug's presentation is one of conservation and angling!  In reading his book its a great blend of the two, a unique look at a treasured Vermont river!  You'll want to be in attendance in-person or virtually!

We'll have an update on the just about to be re-chartered, David and Francis Smith Northeast Kingdom Chapter of Trout Unlimited!

The meeting starts at 7:00 P.M. at The Resevoir in Waterbury, VT.  Arrive by 6:00 if you want to join some MadDoggers for dinner.
