Contra dance Saturday, with extra festivity and fun!
We'll be celebrating "New Year's Eve Eve" on Saturday, Dec. 30. Dress up in fancy clothes if you want to, enjoy our "snack-time potluck", and contra dance with the calling of Nils Fredland, and great live music by Spintuition! This trio has delighted us before, and we're glad they're back to play. Silas Hamilton on stand-up bass, guitar, piano, fiddle and feet, Willy Clemetson on fiddle, and Samuel Foucher on accordion and keyboards will keep your feet moving! Nils is one of our favorite callers, so it's sure to be a good time.
Come by 7:30 if you want to be part of the instruction/refresher session (taught by Nils) at about 7:40, so you have a few minutes to change or clean your shoes. Then dance from 8 to 11:00 PM, on our great dance floor, with all dances taught by Nils, and lots of friendly people to dance with. We always have some new folks joining us, and we hope you'll be coming too.
Our series happens at the Capital City Grange Hall, 6612 VT-12, Berlin VT 05602, just one mile south of Montpelier. Choose the price that fits you: $5 for kids and low-income folks, $12 for adults, or give $20 to help us pay our band, caller and sound really well, as a "dance supporter". We're happy to have everyone come and dance, whatever you pay.
