Shidaa Projects Inc. is excited present The Beat Goes On, Montpelier's New Year's Eve Celebration with our partners at Lost Nation Theater and sponsorship from Montpelier Alive, National Life Group Foundation and 802 Cars.
We have a fun packed afternoon planned for the whole family, with a FREE animated movie at the Savoy Theater at 12:00, Stories and Crown-Making craft at Kellogg Hubbard Library at 1:45 and a Youth Drum Session, led by Shidaa, in the lobby of Lost Nation Theater at 3:00. We have invited popular local musicians who will be performing at the Christ Church (Jazz by Karl Miller and Sweet Messenger at 1:00 and a piano & flute performance by Arthur Zorn & Denise Ricker at 3:30) and the Unitarian Church (Sara Grace Band at 2:15 and The Steppes to keep you dancing at 4:45).
The night will end with a collaborative performance between Shidaa's Dance & Drum Troupe and Lost Nation Theater cast at City Hall. Can't make it down town? This performance will also be live streamed. Between shows, find our hot chocolate stand or take advantage of local restaurants and a host of other happenings that Montpelier has to offer.
