There will be a family-friendly community contra dance on New Year's Eve sponsored by the Brattleboro Last Night committee. We did this last year and was a big success! We are back. The dance will take place at the Heart Rose Club (formerly the Shriner's Hall), 11 Green Street in downtown Brattleboro. The dance will run from 6:30-8:30 pm. Louisa Engle, Andy Davis and Mary Cay Brass will call and play for the dance. Fiddle, accordion and piano. The dance is FREE--though donations will be gratefully accepted.
There will be a Ball Drop at 8:00 followed by the Grand March to welcome in the New Year. All dances 'walked through,' all are welcome. Perfect for school aged children, teens and adults of all ages.
