First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington is offering three Christmas Eve worship services on Sunday December 24.
All are invited - everyone is welcome!
Beautiful music, candlelight, a Christmas tree that reaches all the way up to the balcony, and an inspiring Christmas message from the Rev. - 10am - Christmas Eve Vespers - let's gather in the morning in prayer and song.
Christmas Eve Worship Services with Lessons & Carols
- 4:30pm: Family Candlelight Worship - a joyful service for all ages! The Children's Choir, Youth Choir, and Austin Chimers Bell Choir will be featured in this candlelight service planned to engage every age in the story of Christmas.
- 7:30pm: Traditional Candlelight Service with choirs, a string quartet, brass, and closing with Handel's Hallelujah Chorus.
- This service will include the First Church Sanctuary Choir with soloist Bellana Driscoll; a Vermont String Quartet featuring musicians: Sofia Hirsch, violin I; Laura Markowitz, violin II; Ana Ruesink, viola; and John Dunlop, cello; the Austin Chimers Bell Choir; brass with Tim Berger, trumpet; and Director of Music, Amy Shortt, organ and piano.
Children of all ages are welcome in all worship services.
- "Activity Bags" are available for quiet play in the pews.
- Childcare will be available in the nursery and preschool rooms with activities planned for children through Kindergarten age during all three Christmas Eve services.
