Dear Ward 6 neighbors,
I hope you are having a good weekend.
Our last City Council meeting of 2023 is this Monday evening.
Prior to our deliberative agenda, we will have a presentation on the Memorandum of Understanding on Housing with the University of Vermont. This MOU has been several months in the making. We will hear from Richard Cate, UVM Vice President of Finance & Administration, Wendy Koenig, UVM Executive Director of Government Relations, Brian Pine, CEDO Director and Meagan Tuttle, the City's Planning Director. This is a presentation only. We are not voting on the MOU on Monday. The date of the vote is still to be determined but will not happen until at least mid January.
Following a presentation from the Community Justice Center on their work, we have a very brief deliberative agenda that includes the appointment of a new Assistant City Attorney, the adoption of engineering standards and some technical amendments to our ordinances.
You can access the meeting by zoom, in person or on live stream.
