Peacham Learning Community:

First of all, I want to again offer my profound thanks to the members of our community for stepping up and providing an amazing and abundant free food pantry for the Thanksgiving holiday. The giving response from our community demonstrated the selflessness and community oriented values which make my family proud to call Peacham home. I have received many testimonials from individuals and families who utilized the food bank and expressed their extreme gratitude and sincere need. Due to the generosity of our community, were also able to donate turkeys and veggies to the local VA Thanksgiving dinner which served over 120 Veterans a hearty Thanksgiving meal. We are hosting another Holiday Free Food Bank on Saturday, December 16th from 8:00am-3:00pm at the Peacham transfer station. We are seeking additional donations to support this event to help fight food insecurity in our community.  We need frozen turkeys, frozen chickens, ham eggs, butter, fruit, veggies, non-perishable food items, pies...you name it, we need it! We are also in need of additional folding tables, popup tents, and large coolers for set-up and food storage.  I understand that times are challenging for all of us, so anything you can provide is much appreciated.  Donations can be dropped off at the Peacham school Monday-Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm up until Friday, December 15th at 3:30. If you have questions, or you need to make arrangement for drop off of items, please contact me at sam.mcleod@ccsuvt.net. I would also be glad to pick up donated items at your location.
