124th Annual Christmas Bird Count - Dec. 16

Past event
Dec 16, 2023

The Audubon Christmas Bird Count takes place on Saturday December 16th this year. The Randolph Circle includes parts of Braintree, Brookfield, and Tunbridge.

If you want to be part of the official count, reach out to Brian Lowe at at vtbirdguy@yahoo.com or you can call him in the evenings at 802-282-6493. He is the official count compiler and can give you more details about counting protocol. I'll be happy to email you a checklist with a list of local birds you're likely to see, good for keeping track of what you've seen.

You can watch your feeder, or go outside and see what you can see, even listen for owls at night. You can go solo or with other people. The Kimball Public Library has a few pairs of binoculars that you can check out if you want to try out some binoculars.

I've done this the past few years and continue to enjoy it
