Come to a wonderful concert with Cristina Escobedo, who lives in Johnson and is an incredible young singer. She is putting on a concert at the Second Congregational Church of Hyde Park on December 19th at 5:00. Suggested donation is $15.00. All donations will help Cristina continue her studies and future performances in New York City and Europe. She will be accompanied on piano by Mary Jane Austin.
She is from Lima, Peru, where she joined the National Children's Choir in 2009 at the age of 8! She studied at the Universidad Nacional de Musica of Peru. She was recognized in a major singing competition held by Radio Filharmonia, and the following year, she made her debut at the Pirandello Theater as the Prima Cencatrice in Suor Angelica.
Cristina just finished an engagement with the Vermont Philharmonic as the featured soprano soloist.
