Townshend Solarize Kickoff on September 18th
The Townshend Select Board formally acknowledged a Solarize program at their meeting on August 18th. Solarize is a program that brings discounted solar energy systems to homes and businesses through a bulk purchase type or arrangement. It is a limited-time offer where the price drops lower as more people sign up to go solar. The Solarize Townshend program will run through the end of 2014 in order to help people capture the Vermont rebate that expires Dec. 31st and can be up to $2,500. A grand kickoff event is taking place at Town Hall this Thursday, September 18th, from 6-8 PM.
