It's official – together we've raised 80% of funds and are ready to break ground on the THT expansion project! Join us on Tuesday, December 12th at 12:30pm for this incredible milestone moment.
Middlebury College President Laurie Patton will be on hand to say a few words, and several people who have been key to the project will be wielding the silver shovels. The press will be there, and the event will be featured on the NBC5 evening news. There will even be a brass band!
This groundbreaking ceremony marks the launch of the public-giving phase of the campaign. $6.2 million was raised during our "quiet" phase, (although being a theater company our quiet phase was noticeably noisier than most.) Now we're going public in a big way to close the final $1.6 million gap to make this project a reality!
The design for our new center features a brand-new wing that will include a 75-100-seat performance room, a dedicated learning and event center and a fully outfitted scene shop and makerspace. Combined with the new public plaza with an outdoor stage, seating and parking for food trucks, THT is transforming from a community theater into a regional performing arts center.
