Do you have piles of papers that you’d like to get rid of but aren’t comfortable putting in the recycling bin? Now is your chance to safely and confidentially de-clutter for free! HomeShare Vermont and AARP Vermont are teaming up to offer free document shredding on Saturday, September 20 from 9 am to 12 noon at the HomeShare Vermont parking lot located at 412 Farrell Street in South Burlington (behind Walgreens). Secure Shred trucks will be available to provide on-site document shredding. All types of paper are accepted and there’s no need to remove staples, paper clips, or binding. Everyone is welcome to come but please limit 3 bags or boxes per person. Shredding sensitive documents like bank statements, credit card bills, and junk mail is your best defense against identity theft so fight fraud and shred instead!
