The Vermont Land Trust (VLT) has scheduled a public meeting for Thursday, December 7th from 5 to 6 PM in the Cambridge Town Office to review a number of trail improvement projects concerning the Brewster Uplands property. There is also an outdoor meeting at the main trail head parking lot located on West Farm Road at 3 PM the same day to review planned improvements to the one mile long Pond Loop trail.
The Cambridge Trails Committee has been working closely with VLT staff on the following projects:
1. Rebuilding the Pond Loop trail for wheelchair accessibility.
2. Adding both stairs and a wheelchair ramp to the entrance of the Alden Bryan Brewster River Trail off Canyon Road.
3. Fixing the many lifted culverts on the Logger's Loop trail in the Uplands location.
