The St. Johnsbury Players Present Live Radio Play "A Christmas Carol"
St. Johnsbury, December 1, 2023 – The St. Johnsbury Players, the Northeast Kingdom's oldest community theater group, proudly announce a special staged reading of "A Christmas Carol," a live radio play adapted by Ryan Neely from Charles Dickens' timeless classic. This event will take place on Saturday, December 9, at 2 PM, at the United Community Church in St. Johnsbury, forming part of the St J Sparkles Event.
This eagerly anticipated event, embracing the holiday spirit, features a multiage cast, including the return of some cherished favorites. Barry Hayes will once again embody the iconic role of Scrooge, while Jan Clasuing takes on the haunting character of Jacob Marley. The production will be enriched with the enchanting music of Nadia Savickas on the violin. Adding a dynamic layer to the performance, special dance choreography by Janet Warner-Ashley will be brought to life by featured dancers Damian Ryan, Lora Schofield, Vicki Scherer, and E Kaufman. The show's immersive atmosphere will be further enhanced by live sound effects skillfully crafted by Elijah Scherer and E Kaufman.
The St. Johnsbury Players invite the community to join them for this unique experience, promising an afternoon of heartwarming entertainment.
